Who are we?
Director and Principal
I established TaylorMade Surveys in 2024 after dedicating over 30 years to the residential property and the construction industry. As a chartered engineer and chartered building surveyor, and with hands-on experience from my early career working for building contractors, I aimed to provide a bespoke service to clients in Wigan, Greater Manchester and the North-West. This service not only identifies potential property defects during home surveys but where practicable accurately diagnoses the underlying causes of these defects and recommend repair solutions. At TaylorMade Surveys, we are also happy to assist our clients in sourcing and supervising local qualified tradesmen and reputable contractors to carry out the necessary repairs.

Party Wall Surveyors
As experienced building surveyors in Wigan, and Greater Manchester we act as party wall surveyors in compliance with The Party Wall etc. Act 1996. We can represent the building owner, adjoining owner(s), or serve as the third surveyor. Our team prepares and serves valid notices while adhering to statutory timescales and minimizing the risk of delays and disputes.
The Party Wall Act etc. 1996 was introduced to provide a clear legal framework for preventing and resolving disputes between neighbouring properties regarding building works. It protects the interests of both parties by setting out rights, responsibilities and procedures before works begins.
New Home Inspections
Across Wigan, Greater Manchester and the North-West we offer expert new build home inspection and snagging services delivered by industry 'insiders'. We are also happy to assist and advise clients on any disputes that may arise, whether pre or post purchase, ensuring you have all the necessary support you need throughout your homebuying process.

Drone Surveys
We are CAA registered drone pilots based in Wigan, Greater Manchester, and weather permitting, we use drones to obtain a bird's eye view of roofs and other structures to conduct surveys. This allows us to survey inaccessible areas that are otherwise unavailable to conventional survey methods.
